...but we're also talking about an administration who does things on a whim, doesn't think things through and hopes whatever it does is over in a couple of weeks. Not to mention, never really learns from it's previous mistakes. This why I am leaning more towards the pantry being left short here.

It would take a lot more than one photo (that some say is altered) to convince me. I know how logistics works in those situations. And there would have been an emergency declared long before it ever got to this. But then again, people are believing conspiracy theories about the US military covering up thousands of casualties. So....

Is the administration incompetent? No question about it. But there's been no sign yet that the actual military or the federal public service in the US is incompetent. And I'm begging people not to conflate people who serve with the politicians who give orders.

You gotta give it to whoever is writing the Trump's pravda posts - they do a really good job parodying Trump's unfiltered streams of conscience. Same level of derangement, same level of cringe. I would critique them on their grammar though. It's too structured and consistent. Trump's streams of consciousness are messier than that.

I know, right?!
I actually think they created a TrumpAI bot for him - trained an LLM model exclusively on all his deranged speeches and his actual tweets back from the covfefe days. But also fed the model proper spelling rules and a bit of grammar knowledge.

Next-up: a Sora-style video AI that will take over media appearances and state of the union addresses. You know, once Trump kicks the bucket, MAGA still needs their dear supreme leader that they can keep voting for in future elections.

Hear me out on this. There is enough SCOTUS precedent for this:
1. Corporations are people. They have the same freedom of speech protections as people, so they must have the same right to be a president, right? You incorporate TrumpAI on the American soil, giving him birthright citizenship rights and Bob's your uncle.
2. TrumpAI is a legally distinct entity from Trump. Therefore, Trump's term limits do not apply. TrumpAI can run for at least 2 more terms.
3. By the time TrumpAI is done with its 2 terms, Americans won't need to have another election ever again. TrumpAI until the end of times.

Kidding aside though, there is no conflation or conspiracy of this administration holding people who serve them in contempt. Lots of examples of that. Including this gem of late...

...nor does it excuse this administration for putting their defense personal in direct danger due unjustified and unprovoked wars, let alone everyone else.

Getting back to this example, it is true that we need more than just a one off pic of an eggplant pretending to be shoe leather to be conclusive either way. But I do think things are not happy in the State of Denmark here. And to put that mildly. I agree though, more vetted examples need to come out about this.
