Frankly, pretty boring and low key for a store of this size and stature. Tiled exterior, standard showcase windows, nothing really ambitious given the amount of time it was under construction and the size of the store. Looks like it could've been built in the 70s. In fact, it kind of already looks aged, like it's due for a refresh.

The inside looks really nice though!

Also, didn't they combine 3-4 stores into this big space? I guess that took a long time.
The new Aritzia store is larger than before the renovations as they combined it with the former Le Château space to the north (that was also used as a pop-up for Aaniin and American Eagle at times).

They were doing some sort of private opening of the Aritzia today, presumably for influencers? I will say it's clearly a large store, probably one of the largest in the mall now. The cafe seems to sit in the middle (with an entrance directly into the mall), so sadly no patio activation on the outside of the mall. Missed opportunity, but also the cafe will probably get more traffic in the mall than facing the end of the OL construction zone, so I kinda get it. I feel like we need James St to be pedestrianized (and likely also a permanent use for old city hall that attracts tourists) before there's any chance of having better use of the patio space at the James St entrance.

Missed opportunities all around with this. They “own” that hallway up the stairs, could’ve used it to activate that walk, instead it’s just an empty hallway along a wall.

They did the same with the entrance. A primary entrance, a brick wall.

Alo (downstairs) and Lululemon directly across for comparison.

Still waiting to see what they do outside with courtyard access but not expecting to be impressed.

Honestly, it feels like this was designed on a computer at Aritzia HQ and nobody bothered to visit the site to look for context

I have a feeling they're going to do nothing with the courtyard. Huge missed opportunity. Also agree that the lack of display windows in the entrance hallway is a huge miss.
