...kinda like the original idea having the stumpy version of those diamond towers coming out the Dominion Building. But thanks to Larco and the gnashing of teeth at city level that's never going to happen. /sigh

Indeed, I think the platforms @ Union actually start at 3 for reasons I forget. (Is it that they counted the two subway platforms??)
Platforms at Union are numbered relative to track numbers. Track numbers are very logically 1-14 north to south.

Platform numbers feel less logical because unlike modern train stations, Union mostly has two platforms per track

To accommodate this, the numbering scheme is:

- A platform on the south side of a track is double the track number
- A platform on the north side of a track is double the track number minus 1

Platform 3 breaks the rule. Tracks 1 and 2 don’t have platforms between them. So instead of being called Platform 1, Platform 3 is just one less than the number of the next platform that does follow the rule

The bus station lobby was being finished today.

The rest of the tiling is finally laid.

The ceiling is being mudded

The wooden planks that had been covering the bridge have been removed revealing some nice details.

The second and third floor have been completely cleaned. I also noticed workers peeling off coverings on the window frames.

There are a few things that need finishing outside and the lobby needs a good cleaning but otherwise this looks like it can open any day now.

My hunch is that once the lobby is opened into the teamway, the tunnel sidewalk can be closed to finalize those finishings, close the temporary doorways and wrap up this project.

Sorry if this is too off topic for this thread or has already been brought up before, but I thought it was fascinating to say the very least. Has anyone ever noticed that Adelaide, Australia's first-ever skyscraper development (Still in Pre-Construction), looks very similar to a particular skyscraper that may or may not be in this thread... 🤔 I am sure this kind of thing happens all the time, but I am wondering if the CIBC Square diamond design is original or if you can trace it back to another development outside of Toronto as well? It seems kinda sad that what could be a landmark defining skyscraper for Adelaide will just make me think of Toronto...
