Finally OK'd by CN and the OMB, this phase one condo bldg will be directly across the street from the new James North GO Station and Bayfront Park.
Plans include turning Stuart Street into a retail strip servicing GO Commuters, Park-goers and Residents alike.

You may remember this land as being the preferred location (by City Council and 51% of Hamiltonians) for the Pan Am Soccer Stadium. As we all know, it ended up in the exact location Bob Young (TiCats owner) said he couldn't make money off of - Ivor Wynn land. But I digress as this is MUCH better use of this land than a stadium.

As someone who lives nearby, this site is something that bothers me every time I walk past it. Been keeping my best tabs on it, but thought I'd provide the last update courtesy of Joey Coleman. I spoke to him about this a bit online and he said there was something in the pipeline, but it appears that went kapoot too.

The two biggest parcels that make up this site are listed by the City of Hamilton for sale by the City related to property tax arrears, owing almost $200k in property tax between them.
