Great shots. The failure to bring that brick column down to grade is a hilarious design oversight that I will shake my head about for years to come. It's such a no-brainer that I have to assume it was an error that nobody caught, as opposed to an intentional design choice. Innsertnamehere, I edited your image to illustrate what might have been.

None the less, these are a couple of great buildings and I'm thrilled at the bar they set for future area redevelopment.
It boggles my mind, what you did with your edit looks correct, clean and finished!

To be fair you woulda also had to edit it so that the right corner is brick too like the left site - it's uneven regardless of how you slice it haha.. but yes.. MUCH better.. this one will always bug me just like the offset on core urbans new one on james st the top tower offset building will always bug me. But I am a libra so anything not exactly balanced symmetrically or asymmetically will bug me hehe..

Good problem to have

Yes it's a welcome change in this city, where it's more often than not the opposite.

It's amazing how buildings can start to just look "tired" over the centuries. I am sure originally these buildings were quite beautiful, esp. with the sash windows and shutters that would have originally been on them.
