There is a proposal of the Long Term Care home project on 861 Highway 8 in Stoney Creek with 6-Storeys and 160 LTC beds developed by KSCO Holdings Inc on the north side of Highway No. 8, west of Glover Road in Hamilton's Fruitland-Winona area.

Hard to judge without knowing the interior and quality of care TBH
I mean, this is in the middle of nowhere. It's less central than one of our prisons lmao. We have this serious issue where we shove old people to random places on the outskirts like they being stored until dead. It's a sad state of affairs compared to other countries that respect and care for their seniors.

Agreed. But there will surely be a bus to allow the "residents" to access civilization (perhaps even more often than weekly).

This is an LTC though, not a retirement home.

"a residential facility providing 24/7 supervised care, nursing services, and support with daily activities for individuals with significant health challenges or cognitive impairments who can no longer live independently. They provide a safe, secure environment with on-site medical care, meals, and social programs, serving as a permanent home for residents"

Most of the people who are in facilities are physically or cognitively unable to "access civilization" and essentially require "storage and care" like conditions 🤷🏻‍♂️

Edit: if your parents are able to live in their own home still they would have no need for a facility like this (likely wouldn't even be admitted)
