Such a shame they didn't acquire the last semi-detached house, as now the retail streetwall between this new development and the existing mixed use midrise building at the intersection at Gilmour will now be interrupted by this single, shabby dwelling. Seems like a gross miscalculation on the owner's part. Should have taken the offer (I'm assuming that Gairloch would have made overtures to acquire that house) instead of being stuck with a run down dump whose redevelopment potential will now be minimal as the opportunity to be incorporated into an assembly is gone.

If I were you (or Gairloch), the property I'd really want to add would be 281 Gilmour. Then maybe you could move the entrance to the parking garage to Gilmour, and add additional retail or residential units along Dundas. The apartment building on the corner already has a parking garage entrance on Gilmour, so there would be precedent.
