It’s crazy to think that 100 years ago building a skyscraper was meant to be an art form and a way to show off wealth. Now it’s just a competition to see who can cram the most condos into a building with the worst-looking facade. The height is already bad for where it’s located does it really have to look ugly too? There’s nothing tall around to mask it, so once it’s built, it’s there forever.

That's it, eh? I was under the same faulty impression as a couple of others here that there was a slew of proposals and builts just under the "supertall" mark.

No it's the 200 metre mark where there are a dozen just below that threshold. Same thing happens at 150 metres.
