Toronto West House | 68.3m | 17s | Hines | 3XN

It has a vintage 60’s vibe. The railings are a nice touch, and full height balcony dividers are nice to see. The colour could be bolder. Even just the mechanical part of the roof. It’s cute, but definitely does not stand out.

The announcements haven't mentioned a pool, would be awesome if there's access to the rooftop West House pool though

Modern furniture brand, Article, is officially expanding into physical retail in Toronto and has announced plans to open its first brick-and-mortar store in the city later this year.

The massive store will be located at the base of the mixed-use development, West House, located on Bathurst St. just south of King St. W. The space is set to span approximately 9,600 square feet and is expected to open up in late 2026.

The brand offers products in practically every furniture and decor category, including sofas, dining tables, office chairs, mirrors, lamps, and rugs in various designs like contemporary, mid-century, and Scandinavian.

Once open, you'll be able to browse furniture in person and place orders in-store, while select decor and accent items will be available for immediate purchase. The location will also offer free on-site design services to help you visualize your space.

The forthcoming Toronto location builds on the success of the brand's first-ever physical retail in Vancouver and marks Article's second storefront overall.

"For more than a decade, Article succeeded through a digital-first model, meeting consumer demand for modern furniture online," said Aamir Baig, co-founder and CEO of Article.

"Over the past 18 months, we've seen how physical retail can deepen customer connections and strengthen our presence in key markets. As we expand, we'll focus on store locations in North American cities where e-commerce performance is already strong, using retail to build on that momentum and make it easier to experience Article in person."

The Toronto store is set to be the company's largest to date, and will feature a swatch library, curated vignettes, free interior design services, and a dedicated space for children.

Following the opening of the Toronto location later this year, the company will enter the U.S. market, with up to five total locations planned by early 2027.

Article's Toronto store will be located at 90 Bathurst St., and will operate Monday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. once open.
