Well there goes a Hollywood favorite street for filming.

As for the proposal itself, it's early but definitely needs improvement. The podium is not bad, but can definitely be improved. As for the student residence tower itself...yeah that one definitely needs work.

This should not be allowed to proceed by any reasonable assessment of the proposal. It is difficult to conceive that the University should advocate this degradation of its campus environment. Not to mention the shadowing of Queen's Park which is about to undergo a $50M upgrade... The local community continue to oppose the neighbouring Daniels development, so expect the same for this building.

Not imminently.

I haven't heard of it being cancelled, the webpage for it still up, but no planning application was ever submitted to the City. So any action here is at least a year off; but likely longer.

I expect a crane here would likely conflict with work next door. Probably best to wait for that to finish.
