I like a lot of things about this project, but it bothers me so much how it wastes so much of its potential with that cheap and dark brown spandrel that overwhelms the pale color of the precast on the podium (it would look soooooo much better in my eyes if they hadn't really messed up that one part). The windows/glazing should get lost in the precast, instead of looking so prominent by comparison (I think that the precast, which I do generally like, could have looked so much better but for that horrible glazing/window system)

Curious as to whether anyone with mobility issues has had an experience with the new Shoppers. Only recently dawned on me that the Front st doors at the west end are exit only.

Here I was thinking that someone in a wheelchair could avoid the elevator by entering on Front st., which would likely be better because that’s the end with food, pharmacy and health stuff in it.

Has to suck if you show up to get a prescription and have to go all the way around, just to get someone to operate the elevator for you.

I’d say you could use the Front entrance by hitting the accessibility button on both doors- but then you’re stuck behind the one-way turnstile. If they ever kept staff down at that end, they might be able to help I guess.
