I am. I live around the corner and was hoping to see this started during my time here. It's especially disappointing because it's adjacent to hourly GO train service and a future transit hub.

I hope when this comes back with a new developer it is proposed with less parking which can also speed up the construction.
..and a better design that doesnt look like a buncha boxes mashed into each other. I am not one for lazy design no matter how much more "density" it gives to the city. We deserve better, although admittedly the last version of their design wasn't too too bad.. that podium though.. blegh.

I mean, being pragmatic, majority of developments are going to be that in the modern era and with our current building codes and tax situations. I want development, housing and residents more than I care about the design. I don't believe we can stop development until they look pretty, though I will criticize ugly crap, and applaud well designed development. Our stuff here looks terrible, but that's a reality we're stuck with.

Core Urban and even Liuna have shown us we don't have to settle for that. You opt for infill, and I'll be the crabby Simon of the forums criticizing crap alongside you lol.. Also there is no reason we can't have a happy middle ground - just give us a pretty podium - the tower can be whatever you want it to be.
