Seriously, this is such an overdone design gimmick, this tower looks like it could be from any part of the city.

Today from David Balfour Park. It is quite massive for a contemporary tower although skinny compared to the 60s(?) slabs around it.
The window/envelope system looks pretty good in material and quality but the design is not coherent. It being just slightly taller than the adjacent towers feels unbalanced as well.
But look, it’s great. Infill rental housing for a good institutional owner (pension funds) across the street from a subway station. That’s what really matters here. Excited to see residents move in and add their unique lives, styles, cultural contributions, taxes, and consumer demand to the neighbourhood. Summerhill / Deer Park could use some new blood honestly.
Bonus: you can see One Delisle just peeking over 40 Pleasant Blvd. and 50 Rosehill Ave. in this photo.
