Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Indeed, the view from an elevated train past building and houses is always preferable ...

On the other hand - Metrolinx appears to have failed even that:

Metrolinx needs to shape up on the graffiti front. I'm sure Doug Ford has a "graffiti guy" who can clean that up for a "great price."

That or death squads. But this city probably doesn't have the stomach for that. ;)

Set up snipers all along the corridor like the Berlin Wall 🤣

Ps. @kotsy got another BlogTO article. Jealous!! 🍺

Thanks for sharing! Jack follows me on IG and asked if they could. Might be worth following him if you want some of your shots featured on there.

Thanks for posting @kotsy

Weird that they did a vertical video but put bars at the top and bottom. It isn't optimized for people looking on a phone or on a computer.
Must have shot it horizontal then realized that doesn't work for YouTube shorts and isn't great on social media in general.

It is probably 20,000 posts or so ago, but does anyone here remember Metrolinx's proposal for a "GO Relief Tunnel" in downtown Toronto? It was pre-Ontario Line, and somewhat part of the 2010s Relief Line discussion. I am looking for the mapping of it, particularly. Maybe it was included in a Toronto Star article? Maybe it was in a government report? Thanks.

You may be thinking of "Union Station 2031 and Related Planning Studies" a Metrolinx Board presentation from 2011-11-23. It started with 6 initial options {Improve TTC/GO integration at Bloor/Dundas West & Danforth/Main; Add satellite stations @ Liberty, Bathurst, Cherry; North Toronto Sub with 4 stations; U-shaped downtown relief subway from Dundas West to Pape; GO Train tunnel under Queen St or King St; All Lakeshore GO trains underground between Exhibition and East Harbour} other ideas were added - a J-shaped relief subway and all Kitchener & Milton GO trains stopping at Bathurst or the Lakeshore tunnel going up under Osgoode & Queen stations. The following 2 options were investigated further.

4B was the MX plan all along. It was also the one I would not have picked. That is also the current path of the Ontario Line.
