Just got back in town. The forecourt isn’t finished, though they’ve added bollards.

What I did notice is that the escalators down from the bridge are self contained in their own hallway that connects to the Bay Teamway.

They’re behind the main lobby. So it’s possible that the bridge can open before the building does. Seems like it can be any day now, the entire path from Union through the bridge and down the escalators looks finished.

Incredible how these bridges completely transform the tunnels from a scar dividing the city from its waterfront into a welcoming portal integrated into the fabric of the city.

When he gave up on taking down the Gardiner, David Miller talked about "Beautification" and we see it now in the context of the rail corridor. CIBC Square took care of 4 of these ugly tunnels.

Shame they weren't lower to cover all of the concrete from the bridge, save for the support section in between the lanes.

They could still cover up what's left with murals, though.
