Shot December 26, doesn't look like its under construction just yet.
Echoing this. I was happily surprised to see the high-quality hoarding going up recently, now with great looking graphics, but my jaw actually dropped when I saw a secant drilling rig onsite to start the shoring and excavation process. All this for a very handsome project, too.I didn't get a photo but I was shocked going past the site yesterday to see that it truly is under construction now! They have a pile driver and some other heavy equipment working on site, wrapped by well designed promotional render hoarding.
Agreed, but perhaps construction of this will allow them to finance the construction of the other site. Having an asset as collateral for he loan, in addition to future rental income coming in to pay down the financing.Wish they started on the James Street site first, but this is really positive news!
More likely I suspect is that they determined this site to be a good candidate for rentals, which a market exists for, and James St a better candidate for condos, which there is no market for. If that's the case, I wonder if Vantage might swap Connolly to rentals too as the real estate downturn persists.Agreed, but perhaps construction of this will allow them to finance the construction of the other site. Having an asset as collateral for he loan, in addition to future rental income coming in to pay down the financing.
