That's a shame, as you were one of the first (if not the first) to post about this. If you look at my bsky profile, there are (at least) two people who have uploaded higher quality versions directly onto Bluesky.

I thought classes of naval vessels are named for the first named ship, so either these should be Defiant-class or the ship will be the USS Trump. (I am by no means a military expert, so take with a portion of salt).

Also, USS Petulant should definitely be one of the ships of this class!

I see on X it is now being referred to as the EPSTEIN CLASS. I think that will stick.

Surely some in right-leaning America must be wondering if POTUS is taking the piss. I mean, Golden Fleet.... come on. I'm reminded of Hitler's demand for the impossible H-44 class battleship. In both cases, one could imagine the naval brass rolling their eyes.

I always roll my eyes a little whenever I see Nazi-leaning groups in Poland, Ukraine, Russia or the Baltic Reps. If they understood who the Nazis were, they’d recognize that they themselves were also Untermensch to be worked to death clearing Eastern Europe for the new German inhabitants. There was no longterm or safe place for even the most complicit and productive Slav in the Nazi world order. Nazi sympathizers in Eastern Europe were and are today solely useful idiots.
