I don't believe this has yet received zoning approval? But they've gone ahead and submitted a site plan app... only in Adam and Catherine's world...
 

Resubmission with the following stat changes:
  • Total units decreased from 730 to 710 (now incl. 7 rental replacement)
  • Total vehicular parking increased from 2 to 7
  • Total bicycle parking decreased from 806 to 404 (w/ cash-in-lieu of deficiency)
Revisions to podium, tower reveal and tower setbacks can be read in the cover letter.

The one positive here is that they aren't slapping the facades of a homes on a 63 storey tower. That's not heritage preservation. That's the perception of heritage preservation in a city dependent on real estate development. The history save the outer facade is erased; everything from good and bad alterations to the lives that have passed through. Selective demolition and propping up these facades must come at additional time and costs too.

More blocky towers with minimal property setbacks. What's the plan? The city of Toronto to hit 10 million poor souls?
Why erase some of the history when we can erase...all of it?

There were two Notices of Public Meeting in yesterday's Star regarding this development; both meetings take place on 1.13.2026 at 10 am in Committee Room 1 at City Hall. One pertains to amending the address from 5 Huntley to 2-8 Earl St. The other is an application for demolition. The height is listed at 207m, but that may be without the mechanical.
