To me this represents bad zoning. 25 years from now when Greater Toronto adds another 2 million people and core office space becomes a scarcity, I could see a massive black 275m+ high end banking office tower here. Something of quality that does the historic base justice. This is adjacent to Union Station. What is proposed in my opinion is short sighted and unfortunate...
 
Saw this in the zoning approvals article on the front-page this morning.

I am mostly surprised that they eliminated the hotel portion. Seems like a really odd situation given the absolute boom of the hospitality industry in Canada at the moment and the A+++ location this would be for a hotel.


I will echo that I am not sure Larco knows what they are doing.

I hope you are correct, I hate this proposal. Leave this building alone!
