Phase 3 of The Barrel Yards includes Building K: a 19-storey apartment building on the southeast corner of Merchant Avenue and Barrel Yards Boulevard.

Phase 4 of The Barrel Yards includes Buildings F & G: two 32-storey apartment buildings on the northwest corner of Erb Street West and Father David Bauer Drive.

Both phases are designed by Turner Fleischer Architects for Auburn Developments (Silver Lake Developments Inc.)

Not surprised at the overall design, given the precedent set by the earlier towers. But considering they'd be the tallest in the project (and city, if completed today), I think some extra care or pizzazz would be warranted.

Even if the towers stay the same, that podium facade on the Phase 4 block needs to change. You can dress up a parking podium to a point where it's not so garish. Might still look like structured parking, but could at least resemble a real building at a glance. 119 E Washington St in Syracuse, NY does this relatively well, IMO.

Was wondering when this one was going to get its own thread. I've been too busy lately to create it myself (same goes for the proposal at 167-171 King St S).
