President Donald Trump's United States of America

"Until such time as they return to the United States of America all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us…”

As Canadians this type of deranged talk from Trump should be very concerning. Trump is getting worse by the day. How long before Trump claims that the United States is entitled to a big chunk of Canadian land and resources. This is no longer beyond the realm of possibilities and what are we going to do about it? Our "leaders" have not built up a strong civil defense force that could present a threat to invading US forces. Instead, what exists of our military is spread out all over the world doing nothing to contribute to the security of the Canadian homeland. Canada is looking to spend about $25 billion for submarines and another $30 for F-35s fighter jets. How will these investments help us repel an American land invasion? Don't laugh! This is our new reality. Under Trump anything is possible! WTF UP Canada!

Unfortunately for Trump here is that one can't surround a country that isn't an island with a navy...

Venezuela isn't exactly ruled by a peachy regime either. There's a reason all their neighbours are happily giving the US basing rights. See the threats they made to Guyana as an example.

The interesting thing would be to see what Putin think about this against their supposedly ally - he can probably make some noise about the US operating in its' sphere of influence as legitimizing their actions in Europe et cetera. The inevitable increase in oil price wouldn't hurt him either.

Sure, but I don't think it's necessary to give any sort of cover to the current US administration, either. Let's not pretend as if they're doing this for any sort of good cause.

Nobody suggested that US conduct is acceptable here.

Yep. Just as Russian finances were starting to get crushed......

I guess he has given up on that nobel peace prize
Nonsense! Trump is definitely going to spin this regime change as him finally bringing peace to the tormented people of Venezuela. Peace by bombs. Reminds me of this Bush era classic democracy-building exercise:
