There should be no parking garage, period. We should be reducing car infrastructure not adding to it. There's literally a bloody GO Train and Ontario Line station across the street not to mention the waterfront bike and pedestrian infrastructure.
That's definitely my first choice. But since there's zero chance of that happening, it should at least be moved.

Hopefully there could be some sort of plan that any work on the proposed parking garage wouldn't be started until the fake Therme's spa/waterpark is more than half completed. Then there would be a good chance of it never happening.

100% we're gonna end up building the parking garage first, probably before Therme finally admits the spa is never happening.

According to the CEO of Ex Place during Waterfront For All Speaker Session last night, the E-Sports arena is still happening with construction slated to happen from 2028-2031. It's estimated that it will host 150-160 live music events and 50 Esports events a year with a capacity of about 5,500 people.

This whole thing (and perhaps e-sports in general) feels like it was a covid era fever dream.
Reminiscent of a different time.
I disagree, it's been a growing culture spawned by online communities and fanbases for nearly 20 years now, from tournaments in games like League and Wow to other circuits of matches run by small to mid sized entertainment companies that garner a following from sports gambling (fantasy football, etc) and various other, similar media.

Project thread created in 2021. I wonder what's happened to the proponent in the ensuing years?

I have my doubts - the gaming market seems to be in a period of decline (with a pervasive feeling of enshittification). I am not sure just how much demand there is for a type of entertainment that is fundamentally more about virtual than in person presence.
