Does anybody know or think an announcement will be made for the opening date? Will that be in 2025 at least or by mid Jan at the very latest?
Appropriate on Krampusnacht, or Krampus Day, which is celebrated today on December 5, 2025? Watch out for birch rods.
Common sense and experience, maybe! What's this based on?
Is this stipulated as legal requirement somewhere? The worst possible date would be in March, since now that they achieved substantial completion they must open the line within 90 days
Where is Phil? He is missing his big 90 day moment.
Well at least Saudi Arabia hasn't gone to his head.Good question, his Linkedin says he's still in Toronto.
He apparently did some consulting in Saudi Arabia in the last year, but is currently 'self-employed'.
Yes, those of us who keep up with UT (and others like Steve Munro) know (or have a very good idea of) the opening date!! :->Does anybody know or think an announcement will be made for the opening date? Will that be in 2025 at least or by mid Jan at the very latest?
Do we now? Unless we are guessing the February 15th (the ides of February!) board change. Though the board change theory didn't work for Line 6.Yes, those of us who keep up with UT (and others like Steve Munro) know (or have a very good idea of) the opening date!! :->
Groundhog Day in Toronto, the day when a Line 5 train sticks its lead car out of its hole, and if it sees its own shadow, opening day will be in 6 weeks. (But it will just be a rumour, no official announcement.)Groundhog Day. It's gonna be Groundhog Day.

Oh?No they didn't. They explicitly said that substantial completion will happen quicker than line 6 because they already finished all their operator training. People in this forum love making up things to act like the sky is falling. We are weeks away from this thing opening and no one is willing to just accept good news.
