Needs more steel and wood and less concrete and glass.

Sure, but do we want wooden platforms and elevated track structures made of steel spanning the entire width of a street? I much prefer the more slender concrete elevated guideways that Vancouver developed for the Skytrain. Some things are better left in the past.
 
I wonder what those nubs/vents(?) are on thd roof - there are so many.
Don Valley Station rendering has them too.
 
I’m hopeful this elevated section of the Line 3 — along with Line 5 between Mount Dennis and Scarlett — triggers a paradigm shift around elevated rail in this city. It is a globally proven way to expand higher-order transit far faster and at far lower cost than tunnelling everything. In many ways, the Ontario Line is serving as a real-world proof of concept inside the 416.
