Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

I'm already in love with this tower and it's only going to get so much better. The cladding is so unique/stunning and in a perfect location for such a landmark development. Hopefully we can see the west tower rise at some point because these two beauties together will be extraordinary.

The corners look ok to me. Doesn't look like they could have been done any other way with this pattern?

Aside from the gaps, wish the edges could have been welded to the front piece.
it's kind of a shame that the corners aren't handled any better :/
The corners being held back keep the "face" sheets of the panels from having unique geometry that would have to be resolved / solved with their neighboring panel.

It seems to be 1 meter taller than his 8 Spruce in NY.

The man has a sense of humour. I really do hope Gehry lives to see this built — he's 97. Perhaps that's why it's accelerating. I don't recall seeing anything built at this speed in this town.

Developer:
"Sir, this is Toronto, I'm afraid to tell you that this tower will take about 5-10 years to be built."

Developer:
"Ok sir, we'll hurry up."

I could be mistaken, but I had 8 Spruce at 265 m and Forma East at 262 m, so Forma East is shorter.

Forma West would be taller than 8 Spruce, but I personally doubt that will ever be built as planned.

It's not whether it taller is really important here, it's whether it looks better than 8 Spruce...

...evidence is pointing that this is likely a distinct possibility.
