Toronto Rogers Centre Renovations | ?m | ?s | Toronto Blue Jays | Populous

Here's the deal: if @sixrings posts another troll post, they are gone, and others should think twice about responding. Enough is enough.

Just as small notice here: The Dodgers will likely cream the Jays in this next round for the World Series. But the silver lining here is that Trump likely hates LA more than he does Toronto...

...I still hope they will win though. But if not...and more on topically, hopefully the powers that be will start to put in ShonTron-san's sage advice if things end quickly. That's all.
Edit: The Jays did a lot better than I thought they would...even if they don't win tonight (Sat, Nov. 1st). They should be commended for getting this far. And so I sit corrected either way... 😸

Hear, hear. The Dodgers had steamrolled their way into the WS. The Blue Jays were so close to winning tonight. It was a great series!

What are they doing to the 200 level ?
Upscaling what was the TD Clubhouse area. As far as I aware, the Clubhouse was added 15-20 years ago and now the team is upgrading the experience for ticketholders behind home plate in the 200 level.

Visuals of what the new upgraded premium area is supposed to look like:

So basically the corporate seats are being modernized with new amenities. Also can't tell for sure but the regular seats in the 200 bowl (down 1st base and 3rd base line) are probably being replaced as well. To the best of my knowledge, the 200 level seats (not including the outfield seats) have been there since the building opened in 1989. I assume that these seats will be replace with the new modern seats that were added throughout the building during the 2022 and 2023 renovations.

I've not heard of other cities fretting about being "world class". It sounds kind of silly.
I can tell you from experience that Auckland, New Zealand absolutely does fret about this all the time. And in fact I've seen people here use Toronto as an aspirational case, which is very funny considering how we talk about ourselves a lot of the time.

My not-necessarily-realistic next step in renovating the dome would be an exterior reclad. Doesn't necessarily have to be red brick like a lot of retro-classic parks (though that would be appropriate for Toronto), but the concrete now just serves to remind people that it was built in a different era, and not in a good way for most.
(and yes, move the Ted Rogers statue up to Bloor and Jarvis where it belongs and add some statues of actual franchise icons)

I'll also just add that I'll be a forever Skydome defender and hope they keep it around instead of fully demolishing it. The roof alone is a marvel of structural engineering and can be kept as a legacy piece for Rod Robbie.
