KL Tower opened in 1996 by Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamad as SE Asia's tallest telecommunications tower. Standing 421m tall on top of a hill, the outdoor observation deck at 300m offers a commanding view of the city. Admission fees differ significantly between Malaysians and foreign tourists. While it is cheaper to secure a ticket beforehand using online travel agents, you still need to go to a counter to get a physical ticket with your QR code.
