Not that it matters much, but shouldn't it be a black on orange sign if it is temporary?

Isn't it like that for all projects?Posting this here as pertaining to the discussion of why are transit projects in Toronto so expensive. Although this is not Line 3 specific work Toronto Hydro is a participant to at least some extent in all Toronto transit projects, including Line 3. And while it may be a bit unfair to take an out-of-context anecdotal situation, after all the issues with Toronto Hydro's negative impacts on other transit related projects over the years - I really do not feel that bad about it.

I’ve worked in construction for several years in many industries. Blame foremen and upper management for poor job planning, but also remember wages for labour jobs aren’t that great when you factor in mandatory overtime, working in all weather conditions and generally working in a hazardous environment.Posting this here as pertaining to the discussion of why are transit projects in Toronto so expensive. Should be anywhere between June and September the tbms are inserted and start drillingDo we know when tunnelling is supposed to begin this year for the downtown portion?
There was a post in 2024 about the TBM being tested in Germany and being sent here in 2025 to begin drilling.
Should be anywhere between June and September the tbms are inserted and start drilling
Do they need to complete excavation to launch the first TBM? Or just the second.September is when they plan to finish excavation @ Exhibition, so that'll be the earliest they start drilling in the West end.
