All of the columns look like they have rebar from the slab pour running into them. And the walls will tie to the slab and the columns when they are poured, so it all seems to be connected.

Concrete is now flush with the Koalumns.
 
That is what I thought but do you think they need 4 of them? (There are 4 gaps in the floor plate, one on each side.)
Perhaps these are double floor suites? Seems like a like of real estate for a few ultra luxury hotel room though.

There are so far two floors with these gaps so these would be triplex suites! They are too big to serve as service chutes. Besides, as pointed out above they are not in the official plans and hence the suggestion that they are temporary.
