Just saw the update today.
Up to 1500 units as affordable housing (20% of all units) ??

What are they thinking. I personally would not buy in a building with govt subsidized housing let alone freaking 20% of the units! This will hurt their sales for sure
Hold on everyone, let's give this person a chance to explain him/herself.

Maybe he/she has a rational reason (I highly doubt it) as to why this is a bad thing? Normally I would just go and roast a person for this kind of regressive thinking right off the cuff, but I want to see some of this person's "rational".
 
Guess you'll agree to extreme security at your condo building.

Visitors need to wait for occupant to come downstairs to escort visitor upstairs. Forbid using stairs for anything except emergencies; have to go down to lobby and go back up to a different floor. Etc.
And don't forget to put locks on your fridges...as you don't want those occupants stealing your ice cream now!
 
Hell!! I been hit from behind twice by cars who were in a rush and not willing to wait tell I was on the sidewalk or a turning lane. This was before the laws were change. No one has a clue to the new law for allowing people to cross streets today from what I see from both sides. I obey it with cars hocking their horn at me that are behind me and don't give a rat ass for those dumb drivers.

Wasn't there already money from previous developments for that? Perhaps my memory is failing me on that...... (assuming you mean the section just north of Lake Shore)
No, I do not mean the section north of Lake Shore that has been built, I mean the section under the rail corridor and the Gardiner that has not been built. The path should ultimately continue north up the creek to at least Berry Road, and improvements at its south end should link it better into the Waterfront trail.

No. 'The existing trail' in gray under the Gardiner is nothing more than a dirt path, not the quality needed to expand the system. If the TRCA is funding all the red bits, great, get it built, but funding is needed to tie this area in better to the northwest. Pedestrian and cyclist infrastructure on Park Lawn under the Gardiner is awful to non-existent, and especially it the current Humber Bay library branch on Park Lawn north of The Queensway is to be closed down in favour of the one to be built in the 2150 Lake Shore development (it shouldn't be, but that's the plan—the Humber Bay and Stonegate neighbourhoods have very few City services), then the Mimico Trail needs enough improvement to make it feasible for people to walk or cycle down to where the City is prepared to provide services.

Thanks for the info.

I've been meaning to ground-truth that area for awhile. It's just a bit west for me to get out there more than once/twice a year.

I just had a look at various aerial maps, I can see how to get the trail through to Reid Manor without too much of a challenge.

There is one private property that would need to be partially taken.

Though, it does appear to require crossing the creek 7 times.............which will cost some $$$ in bridges.

North of that, no real opportunities again until just south of Bloor without a lot of very costly property acquisition.

Then what are the white bits going around in circles about? They're not listed in the key menu, but they look important.

It had this:

Then, using google maps(https://www.google.ca/maps/@43.6239537,-79.4869036,1586m/data=!3m1!1e3) i looked around and saw found the trails that were complete using the satellite feature
I got this: (Brown = Incomplete, Blue = Complete, White = Road extension)

Only the developers have completed their portion but none of the things toronto was supposed to do was complete
