Well that woodlot doesn't really fit in with what MCC is becoming. The Confederation Pkwy. canyon will be permanently short enough as it is.

Pretty sad that the city can't (or won't) protect the last clutch of unspoiled, forested land anywhere near the "downtown".

I agree. An urban forest park here would be a real gem. MCC has plenty of land that can host towers.

The yellow circles are slated for development but I'm not sure about the red one. I hope this block is saved because it has some beautiful Willow trees, it would make a perfect urban oasis along with the western half circle next to it.

Hello Jason,
That site plan is for Phase 2 (3 towers). Phase 1 is SP 19-31 (2 towers). Therefore, for the whole block there will be 5 towers (Phase 1 - 48 and 36 storeys; and Phase 2 - 52, 37 and 35 storeys), 1,192 m2 of ground floor retail and a central open space park and pedestrian walkway (mews) linking Rathburn Road and Square One Drive. Below is a rendering:

Damn, that is really nice, and it'll fill in that area really well. Having 5 towers in that block will be a much better use of space in comparison to Daniels' other block next door.
