Gotta say that the opening of the Food Basics (and lesser extent, SDM), has had a really positive impact on this intersection. I've dropped by a couple times in recent weeks for groceries while I'm in the area, and the Lansdowne/Dupont intersection definitely seems more livelier on the weekends. Pedestrian traffic from each direction appears to be at a much higher rate than before.

I just wish that the courtyard between the two towers wasn't so execrably ugly. It's terrible, all hard materials, bereft of nature. Argh, awful!

(Sorry, having a flashback.)

I've been living in this area for over a year now, and it's the first time I've seen an office space for lease sign on this former warehouse building. It was also the former sales centre facility for the townhouse developments, but looks to be well underused for a while now.
