There was some excavation going on in the rear of the property as I went by yesterday afternoon and the front of the remaining office section is now behind wooden hoarding. I suspect construction is already underway.

On September 19th, representatives from Redwood Properties and Boardwalk REIT were joined by local officials and Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown to celebrate the official start of construction at 45 Railroad. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony marked one of the most ambitious high-rise residential projects in Brampton.

Offering affordable luxury in a premier transit-oriented location, 45 Railroad is a landmark 365-unit rental community situated directly across from Brampton’s downtown GO station.

This should be an interesting project to follow because of how Boardwalk REIT decides to design and market their rentals and building here. It will be precedent setting for Brampton and indicate the direction the established apartment REITs are going with new builds.
