Good to see the sign and marquee restored, a cherry on top for a great restoration project so far- often times restorations forgo restoring these sorts of things (i.e. The Revue) which is a shame, because signage is usually an integral part of theatre design.

Looking forward to seeing the interior. The exterior looks... well, OK so far. I love the sign, love the windows facing Bloor, not crazy about the new cladding on the lower half. Hopefully they're still working on it? The horizontal black stripes in the archival photo @jje1000 posted above are pretty essential to the deco look. Crossing my fingers that they will appear yet.

Based on some articles from last year, it looks like the original opening was supposed to be in late 2018. It was later moved to 2019 instead ambiguously. I attended an info session last fall and the owner, Moray Tawse (of First National and Tawse Winery) had introduced his team of management, head of restaurant and bar, and various creative directors already. That was well over a year ago, so I can't imagine keeping a roster of core management on payroll without delivering product to customers to be cheap.
