Even in dubious lighting, the sheen adds depth (north side this afternoon). Yes, @Benito, we look forward to your sunrise and sunset shots.

And to think just a few years ago half of this site would incessantly slag Bazis. The dislike of Bazis never seemed to be based on anything other than them being new to Toronto. They've been a breath of fresh air, afaic.

I'm not so sure it was ever half the site that slammed Bazis, so much as one member whose posts seemed to take up half the site...

Crystal Blue was lousy. Now, though, the Kazakhstani developer is hitting the right notes with very interesting projects like Exhibit, E Condos, and 1 Yorkville.

Have you not seen Crystal Blue? It was pretty bad!

One building shouldn't paint the whole company. Besides the hate on for Bazis was completely overblown and started before Crystal Blu even went up. When a reaction is out of whack with what has transpired there are always other motivating factors. I suspect, some people didn't take kindly to a new company arriving on 'their' turf.

Hopefully it didn't have anything to do with them being from Kazakhstan.

Perhaps the UT shaming helped Bazis up their game. :)

Wouldn't be the first developer that listened to the opinions here.

Perhaps although it was clear very early on that this company was going to bring something different to the table. Crystal Blu didn't turn out well but even there it was evident that they were making an effort.

They've more than redeemed themselves from a few early missteps.
