Well this post is not nearly as zesty as @Benito 's - but here goes.

Taken this afternoon - the site was abuzz with activity, most more obvious than others. (Edit: New guy on site said 6 years for completion).

(Certainly seems to be a company involved in the business of moving buildings!)

A full frontal of building in question...

Yikes! The maintenance of these machines must be a nightmare, so exposed to the elements.

So, that IS a man (thankfully with hardhat!) working underneath.

You’d think that, but high enough up and you can see the entirety of the Golden Horseshoe. Hell, from the 19th floor, with only a partial south facing and at Bloor, I can make out buildings in Buffalo and Casino Niagara on clear days.
I would like to see a view of One Seneca Tower (Buffalo's tallest building formerly known as One HSBC Center) from that vantage point.

The curvature of the earth is a problem for that - I remember seeing someone do the math on Reddit once and IIRC if you are in the sky pod of the CN tower on a super clear day you should be able to see the top few metres of the building, but not much.

Yeah, linear calculations don’t work in an atmosphere:

Well, they certainly will get great views from high up in the One, but I agree with other posters that seeing Buffalo is unlikely/impossible. I think what you are seeing is the cluster of hotels and the observation tower in Niagara Falls. I live in a lake facing unit in Humber Bay Shores. From our 26th floor unit it is possible to recognize (and positively identify) the tower in particular with a pair of binoculars. I have been told that it is sometimes possible to see the mist rising above the Falls. I myself have never been able to make it out amidst the haze, however.

Something you might look for, a little to the west, is the tower at Brock University, up on the escarpment at St. Catharines.

You may be right that it's only just the hotels, but I'm somewhat certain it's more than that. I'm not talking clear-as-a-bell view here, but on good, unhazy nights I see lights.

A view from Hamburg (south of Buffalo, ~10km further away from One Seneca Tower) can apparently pick up the Toronto skyline on good days, too:

Sam Mizrahi was interviewed at the Land and Development conference today. He indicated that SIXTEEN floors of retail -not 8 - have been fully leased to "best in breed" retailers. And that the building will have Canada's first Michelin star restaurant. Retailers will announce who they are on their own timelines, not Mizrahi . Also confirmed condo sales at 75%.

also the first ever restaurant to be awarded a Michelin star before opening...

We've had other developers hype a "Michelin star" restaurant located within the building. So far none have actually opened.
