This gives the clearest view yet of the wretched 5-story spandrel wall behind Oddfellowes. I know it will be partially covered by the proposed addition, but good god.

From walking past the base of the tower this morning and seeing the ghastly orange spandrel, I couldn't help but pull up photos of the original artists' renderings. I get that this is just a rendering, but it's quite a difference in execution. Originally, the rusty orange would have worked to blend in well with Oddfellowes, but now with the grey/orange messed up checkerboard pattern I'm not so sure...

On a positive note, the spandrel is at least cleaner now from the last time I saw it. Must have been the rain that washed the dirt away.

I wonder if the total length of mullions on this building would wrap around the entire circumference of the earth. There sure are a lot of heavy ones used in this building.

This is happening in 2018 on Yonge St. The BOOMING condo market is producing trash (I'm being too kind) like this.
