2018 Ontario Provincial Election Discussion

Doug Ford pretty much has this election in this bag, and even though I'm an avidly NDP voter I couldn't be more ecstatic. Why, you ask? Because you latte liberals who haven't been west of Ossington or north of St. Clair in over a decade are finally going to get a wakeup call when you realize outside of your bubble that things really aren't that great in this province (just kidding, all of you are that delusional that even that's not going to be enough proof for you). You can expect the highly multicultural ridings of Mississauga and Scarborough to go blue in June because, sorry to break it to you, but the populace of those ridings don't resonate with the Liberal mandate to change the sex ed curriculum and Ford made a very calculated move by making that part of his platform. That's what the multiculturalism you're all so proud of actually is in its essence

Oh, and don't think that the 905 is the only battle there is to fight. You think those in Chatham, Sudbury, Cochrane, Sarnia, Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie et al have their world limited to the CBC, Globe & Mail and The Star like most of you on this forum do? Not at all

Oh and don't even get me started on how just barely over a year ago when Trump was named president of the United States, we had the same latte liberals in question priding themselves on how this is something that could never happen in Canada, and yet here we are soon after having basically proto-Trump having good chances of becoming premier of the most populated province of Canada. These tears will be delicious

hahahaaa.....nice.

I only have to ask, what the hell is a "latte liberal"? Is it the poor man's "champagne socialist"?

I guess I'm a "tea centrist". Tea centrists don't even go north of Queen, never mind St Clair....and they read The Economist in addition to the Globe and Mail.

It's just the usual cheap shots from the segment of the right wing who can't form an intelligent argument without resorting to name calling. Just in case Doug actually loses, I'm saving these posts so that I can throw it back in his face after the election. As for my thoughts, I'm prepared for any possible outcome. Lets see what happens.

Oh my god. The bitterness. The back to back posts. Weird insults and fake satisfaction.

Nobody here wants a part of the mid life crisis you're going through. Sorry.

After reviewing my being aghast yesterday trying to watch the 'debate', and watching selections again today, and being braced to be objective, Kathleen is the winner.

I'm appalled at how little all of them knew about anything, and now wonder why Caroline lowered herself to do this? She's a bright, considered person. But anything she has to offer is being lost in that arena.

I've heard better banter on the streetcar from people who work real jobs. And if I overheard Allen, God only knows how I could refrain from telling her to STFU. She's just freakin' scary, and where's her cigarette and drink?

And of course, tears is exactly what happened in the US Post-Trump and MAGA is turning out *so well*. Caveat Emptor.

You give me Latte Liberals and I raise you Loose Conservatives.

Meanwhile, more #MeToo drama at QP?

I was retained today by a woman who was sexually assaulted and abused by a Liberal cabinet minister. The Premier was informed 3 weeks ago #onpoli #cdnpoli

Nunziata, yeah...however, what's good for the Gandering, is good for a Goose. As the Brown 'affair' is full of black holes, it does portend how dirty games are going to be played.

It's now obvious that some in the media will run with even a hint of an accusation. "J'Accuse" can't be mistaken for "Excuse me".

Brown is dead not because of the accusations, which is survivable should he decisively removed himself temporarily pending investigation - but because of his cut and run approach, which is anything but of leadership quality. If you can't even handle that, how can you handle being Premier?
