Now thats a solid looking podium ? Would of worked well in the Aura condo's podium blending in with the College Park buildings.

Podium is ok. I don’t like the balconies. They don’t really go with the work on the podium.

Great looking podium. Bay Street desperately needed some quality stone at street level. Most of Bay (north of Queen) looks very cheap/tacky.

The podium and tower look like two different buildings, though it's not an unattractive combination of facades.

I'm happy that the podium, especially at street level, is not going to be a generic wall of glass, like almost every other condo going up in the city. I'll take this any day!

I thought the podium look way too busy - but not in a way that provide intricacies and details that engages the eye. Stonework or no, it didn't came out particularly well - more like clumsy.

Less is said about the tower, the better.

Bay Street between Wellesley and Bloor (or at least the 100 metre radius of Bay between that section) is filled with a quite a few half-baked condo developments, this is just another example of that.

Agreed, though 1000 Bay has turned out very nicely (and all retail units are now occupied), and the park-to-be around the corner beside Wellesley on the Park will help enliven this stretch a bit.

That grey spandrel on the side of the building is an aesthetic crime. The building is turning out to be a horrible blight on our skyline. The architects should have their licences revoked.

Trust me, this sort of stuff is not the architects' fault. The developers have final say in design and materials used.
