Is there no incentive for developers to build anything beyond the bare basics: condo point tower residential and featureless glass-box commercial? This is about as generic as it gets. We paid for all that investment in public space - shouldn't these developers pay for better architecture and better buildings? Very frustrating to see yet more of central Toronto morph into this super sized condo junkspace.

Is that the same park we saw in some of those 1 Yonge renderings featuring a massive fountain (similar in design to the one at Four Seasons)?
