Looks like this development will be known as the "Sugar Wharf":

We are proud to unveil our new community, Sugar Wharf, coming to Toronto’s waterfront! This will be the largest mixed-use development on the waterfront!

Is there no incentive for developers to build anything beyond the bare basics: condo point tower residential and featureless glass-box commercial? This is about as generic as it gets. We paid for all that investment in public space - shouldn't these developers pay for better architecture and better buildings? Very frustrating to see yet more of central Toronto morph into this super sized condo junkspace. :(

The more rendering proposals these developers create. The more bland and cut and paste look these building start to look. What happened to the that huge water fountain with cherry trees wrapped around it for the park !

Holy Yuck.

Is that the same park we saw in some of those 1 Yonge renderings featuring a massive fountain (similar in design to the one at Four Seasons)?

That was a render put together by Pinnacle for the One Yonge development - nothing to do with Menkes
