That looks like it could be a nice, little, hidden public square! It could be a great place to get away from the crowds and relax.
 
Are they not going to brick that ugly cement outer wall??:eek:

I certainly hope so, that area doesn't need any more exposed dirty concrete.

From the rendering it is brick (or brown concrete!). Yes, I know it's a 'rendering' but ..

Could it be Corten steel?

It is Corten steel. This more detailed render shows an old rail map design cut into the steel.

I can't believes it's named after NYC's 'HIGH LINE'. There must be another story. Does anyone have an answer
 
An electrical facility with 'highline' referring to wires perhaps..? It's pretty tacky if derived from the NYC project.

I find the co-incidence incredible - especially considering other projects in Toronto that attempted to ruboff its' namesake in NYC (e.g, King High Line)
