One of the biggest outstanding issues with opening the Crosstown is or was software defects in the signalling and train control system. Could there be problems with "talking" via WiFi or cellular or whatever communication links they are using? Must be something us "folks" don't need to know.
Depending on your mobile phone plan, using your cellular data for calls and texts can be expensive. But WiFi is usually cheaper, so using your internet connection instead can provide a cost-saving advantage. Cheaper to use WiFi than Cell service.

I would keep the cash fare at the full adult price. Need a "discount" fare (IE. student, senior, child), apply for it using PRESTO. Even if the "child" is supposed to be free, the PRESTO card becomes an "ID" for the "discount".
