If you’re going to build new railway tunnels then just leave them under the railway corridor and serve Union, building them along side the Ontario line would save nothing since they would need to be separate tunnels anyway.

Yeah, we’ve never seen slow zones in the subway, schedule bloat, lineups at terminals, operational problems, lines that never get built, etc. Such a transit paradise.
The surface platforms are better than the ones on Eglinton even, more shelter coverage and a better concrete barrier between the vehicle lanes and the platform.
