    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I would suggest raising the eastbound lanes above the intersection, with a bridge reaching across the LRT and westbound lanes to Leslie.

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

I don’t hear cries of neglect about Montreal trains going nowhere near Ottawa now, a few peak ALTO express trains bypassing Ottawa is no different. If service is frequent enough and demand high enough then what is the point of making a few trains full of Montreal-Toronto passengers taking the...

Alto - High Speed Rail (Toronto-Quebec City)

No, but with the service levels that seem to be planned a few express trains that go around Ottawa at full speed would still leave enough service for Ottawa while saving time for Toronto to Montreal peak trips. Could throw in an Ottawa to Quebec City all stops service on top of that.

I guess that could mean not routing through downtown Peterborough, and maybe an Ottawa bypass.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

That doesn’t make sense, maybe that was for Sheppard?

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I’m also irked about them having to come back to do more work to eventually raise the platforms to level floor height on all these recently built platforms, instead of modifying the coaches now to work with a level height platform and not having to raise all these platforms.

They later complained about the construction disruption and tree removal at the launch portal,

It was considered to build underground since it was easier and no more costly to build the tunnel launch portal at Don Mills, I’ve mentioned this a few times recently.

Yes they were, there were separate TBM drives starting from each end, meeting at Yonge. The eastern drives had not yet started.

I'm not wrong, they weren't going to keep the Leslie station. The reason why going underground was considered was because it was easier to start the tunnels at Don Mills and did not cost more.

I just explained it was not an expense.

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

It was not going to cost more to extend the tunnel, it was to be easier to built the launch portal in the parking lot of the Science Center, and I guess not require an underground storage track at Laird, it was a wash. The same group also later complained about construction disruptions at the...

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Yes but that issue of having full capacity to Don Mills would have been solved if it was left underground,

You can thank the Leaside Residents Association for it not being underground here.

The Future of subway and rapid transit in the GTA

They just have to trigger a TSP signal from far enough away for the cross street to have enough green time for the pedestrians to cross, it's not hard to grasp.
