With respect to my balcony glass issue... thanks for the input. I've tried CLR and WD 40 and Goo Gone to no avail. I even tried scraping it with a razor blade, lubed with all those compounds. I have learned that it may be the result of a problem with the glass tempering process. The glass is...
Has anyone attempted to clean their balcony glass? I've got patches of crud stuck to the glass. Almost like concrete dust was blasted against residual glue from a film that might have been on the glass. Or hard water stains. It's sort of chalky. Nothing seems to remove it. Not even a razor...
I upgraded my washer/dryer too. Front loading Frigidare Affinity washer and dryer stacked. Electronic controls. Don't have the model numbers handy. The cost was $745. Also upgraded to Kitchen Aid appliances. Cost of that was $3,855.
Thanks to you again, Casaguy. My research (which now includes your opinion) is concluded and I will be going with Rogers. I think there's a large onus on the seeker of good customer service to help make it happen, and I never have a problem with that. So I'm confident that my Rogers...
Awesome photos, Casaguy. Thanks for sharing. Did you mop your balcony? It looks sparkling clean. Mine was a bit of a mess during my PDI. I shall mop it on Wednesday (my interim closing date) if the cleaning crew hasn't already done it.
Thanks, Casaguy. Those are great photos. Had my Foglia PDI today and was quite pleased with everything. Especially Melissa from the customer care office. She was great. Unfortunately no appliances but I think they're arriving today. I get my keys on Wednesday. Still trying to decide...
Does anyone already in the building have experience with either Rogers or Bell for HD TV and high-speed internet set up yet? I'm trying to decide which provider is best. I've heard that the Bell Entertainment service is excellent, but I don't think CASA is prepped for that service. Any advice...
Thanks, Casaguy. Agree that Irena at Aleens is great. I checked a couple of months ago and she priced out some options for my Foglia. Said she was going to look at putting together a deal for Casa owners. Looks like she did just that. I'll go back and see what they have to offer.
I agree, and I'm quite worried about this. I'm used to living in a very quiet, solid condo, and I'll be really pissed off if I hear my neighbors in their bedrooms at Casa. Might have to get used to wearing earplugs.
Sometimes I type "I just fell off my chair" if I think something is absolutely hilarious and I do laugh outloud. But I don't think that grafitti defacing my place of residence is hilarious.
Soundproofing
I've never chatted in this thread (I'm a CASA owner) but have 2 cents to say about sound proofing. There are definitely concrete walls between units in highrise condos. I think this issue really arises in towers with curtain walls of glass. As I monitored the progress of CASA...
Waterscapes & Casaguy... Just dropped by the sales office and they confirmed that I have no delay. I suppose delays can be caused by availability of materials like flooring, applicances, sinks, etc. That could be the cause. Thanks for informing me of your delays... hope they're not too long.
Hmmm. Good question. I assume you guys are on higher floors too. How long is your delay? Could be that I have not picked up my mail from the P.O. in a week (sold my place and am in a sublet 'til the new place is ready) and I'm just not aware of the delay. But I did check with the sales office...
