Absolutely same feeling here! First thing I thought of when I saw the plans was the Shoppers that used to be on the S/E corner of Parliament and Queen. One of the applicant's responses to public concern that was provided in the last round of supporting documentation, was that the site is...

CoA hearing stream archive up on the City of Toronto Planning YouTube channel; direct link to timestamp. Representative of the RCL (adjacent property on Pape) and two local residents (including adjacent O'Connor neighbour) provided their feedback; Committee voted to approve.

A few years since the last post on this one... it's going for a variance public hearing this week. They seem to want a variance on height and storeys so that the east end of the project will be able to meet the same 2-storey height as the rest of it.

The trees are gone, and they've started to break up the asphalt; looks like they really are getting underway!

A release out today about the elevated guideway portion of the Ontario Line also suggests that ground is now broken at Cosburn Station:

The Pape Village block party is between Cosburn and Mortimer this weekend, so part of it is right in front of the lot South of Cosburn. Metrolinx set up a booth just south of there, kind of odd to see them in among the other vendors... They got their own branded canopy.

There's not much left to take down on the stretch been Cosburn and Gamble. Likewise, things are really cleared out between Cosburn and Gowan.

So long to the former home of George's BBQ (and its painted Coca Cola wall advert). The site south of Cosburn is really getting cleared out. They replaced a lot of the hoarding with wire panel fencing.

Fencing has been replaced at Gamble/Pape. They've started bringing down a few more buildings on the north side of Cosburn; meanwhile, the site south of Cosburn is increasingly cleared.
