You're living in la la land if you think that will actually happen. Tech companies have actually grown their office footprint throughout 2020 rather then reduce. So much for the death of the office.

It doesn’t need to be disclosed. It’s downtown and 25$/day is pretty much the market rate at this location.

    Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS)

In what way? QC has setup their operation similar to ON. The SAQ will open a subsidiary by the name of Societe Quebecoise du Cannabis. They will be the sole authorized retailer. Also, the SQC has signed agreements with 6 big suppliers. Whereas OCS is opening it to any and all suppliers. Much...

I guess it's just me but every time i go to Walmart majority of the products are scratched or dented. Heck, i remember once seeing a cereal box opened. I haven't been to Walmart in over a year and never plan on going again. Whereas Canadian Tire has completely turned everything around imo. It's...

They can complain about the architecture and fight for something better. However, do not complain about the height. Not in this part of town.

So you hate Canadian Tire's shopping experience but want a Walmart? Isn't Lowes expanding? The location could be good for them.

A property owner can do the same. They can always make an offer to buy back the lease if they want to. Obviously it won't come cheap. I'm not saying this will happen or that Brookfield would even entertain the idea. You're implying that it is impossible for a property owner to get away from it...

It's called buying back the lease. The owner of the space can do whatever the heck they choose to. If HBC gets a big cheque to sell back the lease then yes they will do it.

Where in my comment did i indicate that Toronto is good at preserving heritage?

What i find funny is that users like ksun and thekingeast usually mock Toronto's heritage preservation however they rave about the heritage preservation in cities like Boston and Montreal. If something as significant and historic as this clock tower were to be destroyed in Montreal, i can...

I sure hope you're kidding. Maybe a mini Wallmart but definitely not a superstore.

Doubling the width of the sidewalks on Yonge would also allow restaurants to open small patios on the street which would be a huge plus for this part of town.

    Canadian Tire

This is a problem with all big box stores and not exclusive to Canadian Tire.

I do not understand the logic you are using saying it can not be extended. Boston Commons is split by a 4 lane road. Jean Mance Park in Montreal is split by an 8 lane road. Independence National Park in Philadelphia is split by a 4 lane road. Why can it work in other cities and not on Lakeshore...
