Not a ton to report on here, but the developer sent out a note today asking for those who have registered to re-confirm their interest. Apparently they’re going to host a virtual information session soon.

I've probably mentioned this before, but I can't get why they wouldn't name this The Underway. Makes sense given the location, easy to say, easy to reference, keeps things simple.
Still can't see this project being called anything but The Underway / The Under Way.
It needs to reference the Gardiner Expressway somehow and it's under the thing...
A lot of discussion at the community meeting about the height of this project and how the developer didn't even do a thorough traffic analysis of the area before putting forth this ridiculous proposal (Seriously, 511 parking spaces?...).
^and they have an LCBO planned to go up at Bathurst and Lakeshore wth the Loblaws Redevelopment there. Really feels like a location here would be redundant when you already have locations at Queen and at Lakeshore
Can't find the exact reference at the moment, but I believe that there are height restrictions due to the city's concern regarding the condo towers shadows over Fort York.
This one has a name now. Fortune at Fort York.
Wow... Closing for me takes place in a few months. I capped some fees, but was unable to cap everything... sure hope that I don't get gouged like this for the fees that I was unable to cap...
Looks like there's multiple websites reporting occupancy as March 2015 for this one. Called Onni and what they told me is that the March 2015 occupancy is only for newly purchased units. Everyone else will be moved in on their firm occupancy date.
Has anyone done their PDI and Is scheduled to...
Is that sufficient though? I'm no expert in urban design - but with two schools coming into the area, I'd just assume that a part of the vision for the Cityplace plan would be to create a destination where people could also raise their families.
The abundance of 1-bedrooms just screams...
73% of the buildings will be 1-bedroom units?... What's the point of building two schools in an area that is clearly meant to be a destination for people who don't have children?...
Close friend works in the mall and chats with the Yorkdale management all of the time. The plan is for a 3-level Nordstrom with 5 levels of Underground parking below.
Wouldn't be surprised if they did a smaller expansion over at Sears or if they were exploring ways to revamp the highway...
