The rendering makes this look pretty big? (multiple storeys?) Had no idea this was happening, looking forward to see what it contains.

Am I missing something, the rendering a few posts up and this small piece of land they're currently building on - this isn't the same thing is it? Granted I don't walk around the Westlake area much as I find it's a bit of a mess with traffic but I can't place the retail area from the rendering?

Any rumblings as to what might be in the retail space? Has it been sold yet?

Yea, there's still unoccupied retail in buildings that have been completed for a year or so (restaurant in Ocean Club, etc) so I would imagine it will be quite a while until we hear anything about that.

I too wonder each time I walk by what the heck the paving stone blobs are supposed to represent? The court has improved a lot in the last couple of months with the lights and tables and the benches but that platform area remains an eyesore. Not to mention that yellowy discoloured brick as well.

Agreed. I think most people are thrilled with it though as its now a space they can use as opposed to a pile of dirt. Although I would have to think that anyone who actually saw the original plans would be disapointed with the final result. There is not even any lighting in the new square which...

Anyone know what other retail is going here? The Firkin is set to open mid July (i'm guessing they will make a mint here), but it looks like the other units facing the public square have also been leased/sold.

Would like to know also. Same with some of the spaces along the waterfront. Maybe they're having trouble attracting, but I have to think any sit down type places would do well
