Fair enough, I'm older too, so maybe my sense of inflation isn't as good as it should be. I'm just so so disappointed for what we received as taxpayers for the cost. I still believe we should audit this project and if only to make sure we never have this happen again.
All I can think about when I took this line was...this was $13B? Looks like a $2B line or maybe max $5B line...which is absurd. We need an Audit on where the money went, every cent because I can't see anything best of breed. Even the concrete finishing or lack thereof looks bare bones.
is this the kind of petty responses this forum has devolved into? The prior point made is a valid one, and I'm sure shared by many of us who use this forum for real information. Not endless debates of the same topic and personal opinions rehashed over and over.
Walked in the underground crossing section underneath the Allen Expressway to get to Eglinton West Station (Cedarvale) and basically the entire concourse to transfer from Line 5 to 1 is open. It's quite a bit bigger than expected. The TTC booth was manned by TTC staff as well.
I love this thread for updates and insights as to when this line will open. I find the needless debate on personal opinions and pure conjecture (from what I can see they are just that) to be tiresome as well.
hopefully this can ease some of the more distraught members minds a bit. I live across the street from a station and was waiting for a bus yesterday, when I saw a Crosslinx worker exiting the station. I asked him when is it supposed to open and he said he heard September. So following Metrolinks...
