Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

I’m actually a fan of the overall plan. If built it will tunnel ~100m from my home, provide a nearby station and improve my commute. I believe the plan delivers a lot of benefits to many neighborhoods. but I had to comment on what to me was a glaring oversight and with a dose of levity intended.

Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

"Now approaching Science Centre station. Do not exit at this station for The Science Centre". Seems like a calamity for families with children and disabled people who will then need to travel over 400 meters to The Science Centre, when the Flemingdon Park station is on The Science Centre...

    Spadina Subway Extension (TYSSE) | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

Maybe you've stated the reason stickers aren't practical... people would just pull them off, leaving a mess of inconsistent and inaccurate maps.

Stackt Container Market (28 Bathurst St, future park)

Council passed the motion and we have new parkland! I'm very happy for selfish reasons (my view), but also because the neighbourhood really is under intense development pressure and this is very economical, needed park space for thousands of new residents of developments already under...

Toronto | Manulife Centre Podium and Streetscape Renewal | 10m | 2s | Manulife Real Estate | MdeAS Architects

I wonder if they will spend any of this redevelopment money to fix the long standing issue of the parking lot ticket spitter dispensing painful electrical shocks to unsuspecting patrons. Management at Manulife Centre knows of this problem and blames static electricity buildup on the ramp.

    Roads: Bathurst Street Bridge

One of these days I'd like to get a photo of a GO Train, a new streetcar on the bridge, a red truck on the Gardiner, and a Porter plane departing to the east, but for now this cameraphone shot of the bridge in its rapidly changing neighbourhood...

    Toronto | Queens Quay & Water's Edge Revitalization | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I've been cycling the MGT along QQ a few times a week recreationally and I don't believe it's nearly as problematic as some people state. It's a shared trail and space and we would all be well advised to remember that. It is not the place to cycle if you are feeling anti social or in a hurry...

    Toronto Pearson International Airport

Plus, if it's working, a very cool high speed moving sidewalk that triples in speed along its midsection. After security if you have the choice of two moving sidewalks along the pier, select the one on your right. Walk as it speeds you along and you'll feel wind in your hair. It's my favourite...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

When the construction workers were on site, even in daylight, they sure weren't betting their lives only on drivers' vision. They had huge illuminated signage helping to inform drivers, pylons, a huge truck parked 'upstream' as a barrier, etc.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

No temporary lights. No permanent lights. The permanent installation is missing the yellow/black striped hazard signs, possibly electrical connections, etc. The city has created this very dangerous situation by not keeping the temporary lighting in place.

Another collision, this one clearly more serious.
